FINN SAILING
Finn dinghy sailing is a highly regarded discipline in competitive sailing, featuring a 4.5-meter (15-foot) monohull designed for speed and agility. Known for its challenging dynamics, the Finn requires significant physical strength and skill, as sailors must manage weight distribution and balance while hiking out to maximize performance in varying wind conditions.
Since its introduction in the 1952 Olympics, the Finn class has attracted top-tier sailors and fosters a vibrant community through numerous international events and championships. Its combination of individual competition and camaraderie makes Finn sailing both a rigorous sport and a close-knit social experience.
PSC is home to a very active Finn fleet with regular weekend racing seeing up to 15 boats heading out for action packed racing and carmeraderie.
